IAMRI Annual Meeting and Fall School 2018 will be held by University of  Quebec Rimouski, Province of Québec, Canada, from October 22 to 26,  2018.

Tentative program of activities

Day 1: Welcoming cocktail (icebreaker) and official opening session

Day 2 and 3: Fall school for graduate students

 Theme: Estuaries to Open Ocean

 One day lectures from professors from UQAR and other institutes and  Universities. ISMER is proposing to extend invitations to other  universities in Quebec to members of RQM (Quebec Maritime Network)

 One day field and lab demonstrations on biology-chemistry-physics- geology related to the St. Lawrence estuary
 − Poster session to showcase research projects from graduate students and networking social activity

Day 3: Optional

 visit of other institutions in Rimouski and surroundings (CRBM, Institut Maurice-Lamontage, Institut Maritime du Quebec)

 visit of local attractions
 Business meeting of IAMRI - 2-hour session - time to be determined

Logistic:

 Members of IAMRI are responsable to cover travel costs for students

 Accommodations for students will be the responsability of the hosting  institution o o   Hosting organisation will take charge of a portion or  total costs of meals (subject to confirmation based on funding success)
