MEMBERSHIP
Burapha University (BUU) is a major public university in Thailand, located in the coastal town of Bangsaen, Chonburi Province. It originated from Bangsaen College of Education, established on 8 July 1955 as the first regional tertiary educational institute outside of Bangkok. It was elevated to university status and renamed Burapha University on 29 July 1990.
The university's motto is Sukho Paññā Paṭilābho (Gaining Intellectual Knowledge Brings Happiness). Its colors are gray, symbolizing the progress of intellectual knowledge, and gold, representing morality. BUU is a comprehensive university offering over 50 undergraduate programs, 75 master's programs, and 22 PhD programs, serving more than 48,000 students across its faculties and institutes. It is a member of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL).
