ABOUT IAMRI

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

  Twenty Years ago, with the proposal of a few marine-related universities, the International Alliance of Marine-related Institutions (IAMRI) was established in 2004 and decided to place its secretariat in Ocean University of China.

  IAMRI is an international Marine-related higher education and research network which made up of 9 universities or institutions from 9 different countries. The main purpose of IAMRI is to activate and reinforce the international cooperation of Marine-related Institutions for higher education and research. It is an alliance which will build and strengthen the collaboration and cooperation between the world’s Marine-related institutions through education, research and many other areas. The nine members work together to address the major challenges of our time. We share similar values, a global vision and a commitment to educating future world leaders.

September 1989 – June 1991, Nanjing University, MS in Chemistry
September 1991 – May 1996, Nanjing University, PhD in Chemistry

  Prof. Zhang Junfeng is the President of Ocean University of China and the Vice  Chairman of the University Council. He is a Distinguished Professor of the Changjiang  Scholars Program, awarded by the Ministry of Education, and a recipient of the  National Outstanding Youth Fund. His research mainly focuses on biopharmaceutics and drug delivery. He has published over 180 papers in prestigious international  journals such as Nature Communications and Gut. He has been recognized as a highly  cited Chinese researcher.
